Well thought out! Anyone who likes puzzles NEEDS to buy this game!
If you like puzzles, you NEED to try this one! This is seriously one of the best puzzle games I have ever played! Beautifully designed levels and graphics. The background is amazing! Kudos. The simple gameplay and setup of the game is very straightforward--you pick a profile and immediately begin playing--exactly what you'd want in a puzzle game. The levels are each very unique and get more challenging in different ways than the last, which is amazing since some of the more simple looking levels are some of the more challenging ones! There is almost no loading time and the simple menus make it so I can get back to my game the moment I pull out my iPod.
The game does a good job at walking you though progressively more difficult levels. The help popups seem a little abstract, but make sense after you do what the images show. The first one is very confusing, but it basically just says to pick up the block, move, place the block and build a path to the exit. Seems simple, but oh so VERY much more involved!
The movement takes a little getting used to since if you turn a direction you also go in that direction one square, but I think that's what makes this puzzle interesting and challenging since it forces you to think in a different way to solve each level. Changing the view around is very natural and intuitive AND NECESSARY in the later levels. Just drag your finger and it rotates smoothly around you guy. Some of these levels I have no idea how someone would come up with them!!
It might be nice to have some sort of in game music, but I do like that the sound effects aren't obnoxious like so many other games so I can just l listen to my own music. And I like to keep them on to since they are simple and give a hint as to what's going on when I'm playing.
The different profiles are a nice touch. Makes it so I can let others play and try out the game without having them screw up my game by beating more puzzles. The interface takes a little getting used to, but feels very natural once you do. The rotating directional buttons are a nice touch and make it obvious which direction they will move the guy as you change the view around.
Overall, this is a very well thought out game, and I love the artsy look to it. Props to the guy who made this!! Seriously one guy!! Totally worth the money I spent!!
